Jean Raggio

I was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and grew up in a wonderful Christian home. I attended LSU and graduated in Elementary Education. While at LSU I participated in Campus Crusade for Christ (now called CRU) and went to 4 summer projects at Kings Arrow Ranch. Kings Arrow Ranch was instrumental in my decision to give my life to Christ and continued growth during my college years. In 1990 I was introduced to Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) by my mother at a time in my life when I was struggling spiritually. Through a consistent study of God’s word and the discipleship of committed leaders, my life began to change dramatically. I still serve in BSF today. Both Christ Covenant Church and BSF have matured my faith in Christ and shaped my character to be more Christ-like.
After graduating from college, I taught school for 13 years as a 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 7th-grade teacher. In my teaching career, I have been given many opportunities to share my love for Christ with students and their families. Some of those families I am still in touch with today even though I haven’t taught them in over 20 years.
In 1994 I married Michael Raggio and we have 3 children–two sons; Aaron (22), Miles (20) and our daughter Rachel (19). In my free time, I enjoy exercising, being with family, traveling and entertaining friends in my home.
