I grew up in a Christian home in Southeast Alabama. I was fortunate to have parents that taught me the gospel from an early age and sometime during my childhood I became aware of my sin, my need for forgiveness, and gave all that I knew to give to all that I knew about God at that time. I had fairly consistent growth throughout my childhood yet struggled with a right understanding of grace and confusion about what life as a Christian should look like.
During college, the staff members of the ministry of Campus Outreach began to teach me Biblical truths, spiritual disciplines, and model Christlikeness before me. It was during college that I gained a vision for evangelism and discipleship as normal and needed functions of the Christian journey.
After a brief stint playing professional baseball with the Detroit Tigers and then working on staff with a church in Montgomery, AL, I eventually joined the CO expansion team to Louisiana and have helped pioneer ministries at three universities in the state including LSU where our team currently serves.
I met Jill during my time in college at Troy University and we married in Sept 2000. We have 3 children- our daughter Jadyn and our boys, Jonathan and Joshua. During my free time, I enjoy working out, playing with my kids, coaching little league baseball, and watching college football.
