Statement on Racial Reconciliation

July 2020

Dear Church Family and Friends:

In light of numerous tragic events this summer, we, as the elders of Christ Covenant Church, are deeply burdened and constantly praying for wisdom on how to continue to fight against racism in all its forms.  As a congregation in friendly cooperation with the Southern Baptist Convention, we believe one way to do this is to reaffirm the posture of repentance and the need for action that are set forth in the SBC’s 1995 “Resolution on Racial Reconciliation” (follow the link below for the complete text of that resolution).  By God’s grace, we prayerfully hope to continue to walk together in unity as God’s people toward these Biblical goals.
